We have recently completed a variable speed drive installation, at an independent school in South East London, reducing the power consumption of the pumps by over 17 KW/h (70% of the usual pump running costs), this gave a saving of £57, 600 a year which means that the new system will have earned its installation costs within the first month and will save the operator more than £400,000 in the pump and VSD operational lifespan.
